My New Year's Resolution -- besides the unoriginal but much-needed diet plan -- is to continue in my mission to post something creative every week on this website and on social media.
But since fiction writing doesn't fit well on Instagram and many have trash binned Facebook, I've decided to add a subscription form to my website.
If you are interested in receiving an e-mail once a week for Friday posts - like the one below - click on this link: www.worldofkoryjames.com/reveries and fill out the Subscribe Form!
Now for the post.
Today I'm sharing something I've been working on for quite some time. In early October I began classes for UCLA's Professional Screenwriting Program, in which I'm required to complete two feature-length screenplays over the course of around 9 months.
Using time over the holidays to incorporate feedback from the teacher and classmates, I feel ready to share the first act of my first screenplay: The Pterodactyl Club.
It's a strange one; a dark but whimsical social commentary on the anti-social trends of modern society driven by technological advance. Also, there's pterodactyls.
It's a long one, but if you'd like to read it you can download a PDF at www.worldofkoryjames.com/fiction. Let me know what you think! Criticism is highly encouraged :)
